Born the daughter of prosperous Chinese immigrants, young Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee was sent to an exclusive Beverly Hills school, where her talent for gymnastics was discovered. Jubilee spent much of her time rollerblading with friends at the local mall, but ultimately ran afoul of mall security. Facing juvenile detention if caught, Jubilee panicked and first manifested her mutant ability to generate explosive energy. Soon after, her parents were mistakenly killed by hitmen. Jubilee fled to the only home she had left - the mall. She survived as a petty thief and street performer, but mall security eventually tired of her eluding capture and called in a team of novice mutant hunters, the M-Squad. That same day, the mall was visited by the female members of the X-Men. When the M-Squad attacked Jubilee, the X-Men came to her aid.

Jubes then enlisted in the Xavier Institute, under the guidance of Wolverine. They grew a close father-daughter relationship with one another. Jubilee needed the guidance of a parent, while Wolverine needed the peace and joy of a child. Due to this relationship, Jubilee was referred to as Wolverine's unofficial sidekick.

Although Jubes is physically fit, she suffers from dyscalculia, an inability to complete mathematical problems. She is an academic underachiever, barely scrapping by.
Personality: Jubes possess great leadership skills, and communicates well with others. She is generally a friendly person and loves having around her friends. She is loyal and cares deeply to them too. She enjoys sports, especially rollerblading. She enjoys a fast-paced life, and hates wasting time doing nothing. Jubes is an outgoing girl, she prefers outdoor activities to indoor activities. She likes spending her time at the mall and performing tricks with her fireworks.
Abilities: Jubes generates multi-colored energy plasma, she calls them "fireworks." She can vary the power and intensity, and can also absorb the energy back into her body. Her fireworks can cause detonations, distractions, temporary blinding, and light surges. She also has the ability to evade the detection of telepaths and remote scans. Jubes is a highly-skilled gymnast and rollerblader. She is trained in first aid and CPR. She also possesses fair thieving skills and hand-to-hand combat experience.

III. Sample:
Jubilee focused on her training partner standing a yard away. This was too easy. She wriggled her fingers. A few sparks appeared and crackled around them. Jubilee waved her hands in the direction of her target and sent a small cluster of sparks at it. The multi-colored fireworks emitted a blinding surge of white light. Blinded temporarily, Husk cursed and brought her hands up to filter the light.
Jubilee ran towards her and tripped her while Husk was still blinded. She fell with a loud thud on the grass. Jubes didn't hit her, it would be foolish to hit solid stone. Jubilee laughed as her friend got up, "Come on, Paige. You're losing your touch." She sent a few pink sparks, twirling them around Husk as a friendly gesture.
Jubilee offered her hand to Paige, and helped her up. Well, she didn't really help her up. Paige was too heavy in this form, but it was the polite thing to do. She did make her fall in the first place.
